Current Global brings on Demar Anderson as EVP of marketing and business development and promotes Renee Austin to global chief client and growth officer. Anderson was most recently EVP, global marketing and business development at Allison. She previously served as VP, director of marketing at Gatesman and has held senior posts at Gatesman, Ketchum and Edelman. Her remit at Current Global is to support the agency's overarching vision, diversify its client base, bring to market new service offerings, and accelerate growth across practices and sectors. Austin, who joined the agency in 2019, will now serve as a senior counselor on marquee accounts while pursuing large-scale new business opportunities. Current Global joing CEO Virginia Devlin said that Anderson “brings a wealth of experience and a well-established network, which will play a pivotal role in refining our business development processes and sparking meaningful connections that drive business growth.”

Cory Crayn

5WPR appoints Kara Silverman as EVP, corporate and technology, and Cory Crayn as EVP, operations. Both are returning 5W agency veterans, with Silverman having been with the firm’s corporate practice most recently in 2013 and Crayn having been with the firm from 2005-2009, overseeing its experiential/sports marketing practice. Silverman most recently served as the first US partner at Clarity, having joined following Clarity’s acquisition of her creative communications business Various & Co. She previously led the creation and expansion of the marketing and communications department at podcast company Acast. Crayn rejoins 5W from TodayTix Group, a global e-commerce company for cultural experiences, where he led operations, compliance, program management and real estate. “Their return underscores our commitment to fostering top talent among our team and the 5W alumni network as well as our dedication to leveraging diverse experience as we steer the agency forward,” 5W CEOs Dara A. Busch and Matt Caiola said in a joint statement.

Hinge dating app hires Tamika Young as VP of global communications. Young comes to Hinge from Netflix, where she mas marketing communications manager at Netflix. Before that, she was head of music & cultural impact communications at Spotify. A board member of New York Women in Communications, she has been responsible for important initiatives that amplify underrepresented communities, including spearheading events for Black History Month, Juneteenth, Women's History Month and more. At Hinge, Young will lead the company's communications efforts, working to find the most authentic and thoughtful ways to connect with daters. “Tamika brings a wealth of experience helping brands further their connection with culture,” said Hinge CMO Jackie Jantos.
