Prosek Partners hires Carleton English, who was most recently a financial markets and asset management reporter at Barron’s, as an SVP. At Barron’s, English was also an on-air panelist for the publication’s broadcast program, Barron’s Roundtable. Before joining Barron’s in 2019, English was a reporter for platforms including The Information, the New York Post and The Street. She joins the firm in New York before relocating to Prosek’s London office in the spring, where she will provide strategic counsel across the US and UK markets. “Carleton has been recognized as one of the great talents in journalism by our firm and our clients alike, and I am confident that her expertise and diverse background in the industry will be an asset in providing our clients with best-in-class communications counsel,” said Prosek founder and managing partner Jen Prosek.
GO PR, which works with clients in the travel industry, names Alexis Murray-Merriman as VP and head of its Los Angeles office. Murray-Merriman joins GO PR from Hawkins International, a FINN Partners Company, where she was a VP, working with brands including Soho House North America and Turtle Island Fiji. She has also worked at NJFPR, Clarity and Sitrick and Company. In her new post, Murray-Merriman will service high-level client needs across the agency’s global portfolio and help to develop the bi-coastal agency team. “Alexis has worked at top agencies in New York City and Los Angeles and has ideated and implemented strategies for some of the most notable hospitality brands,” said GO PR founder and CEO Gizen Ozcelik.
G&S Business Communications promotes Lyndsey Newnam to senior vice president. Newnam, who has been with the agency since 2006, was most recently a VP. In addition to managing key agency accounts, she led the creation and launch of G&S’s landscape & outdoor living market segment in 2023. Newnam will now join the G&S executive steering committee, which plays a crucial role in shaping the agency’s future direction. “She has been instrumental in generating exceptional results for key clients and growing our relationships with them – as well as driving innovation and growth for the agency across a range of industries,” said G&S principal and president Brian Hall.
