Nebraska has installed a new agency of record for tourism PR, following an RFP review.

nebraskaLincoln-based Swanson Russell knocked off incumbent Snitily Carr in the competition, which saw the Cornhusker State break out its PR account from advertising and marketing for the first time following a strategic plan review.

Budget is forecast in a range from $300K-$495K annually over three years -- $1.2M total. Two option years are set at $495K. 

The state last year broke out the Nebraska Tourism Commission from its economic development operation, now part of the Nebraska Labor Department.

Media tours, PR outreach, media training and workshops and other PR assignments are covered in the scope of work.

Omaha-based Bailey Lauerman won a review for the state's tourism advertising/marketing pact.
