Omnicom CEO John Wren, whose 2012 remuneration is listed as $42.6 million, was the eleventh highest paid U.S. executive according to a tabulation by Bolt Insurance, which is circulating an infographic with headshots of the CEOs.
Wren's pay is just above that of JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, which is $41.9M.

Judge what percentage of your annual income you'd pay fpor these doctors and then judge whether OMC's board is justified in Payin Wren $42 million of the $14 billion OMC gets in annual billings.
FleishmanHillard and other OMC PR firms pay beautifully--often stunning compenstion packages to bring in geniuses, the very best. Then these employers charge clients (who are gragteful for the top talent) enough tocover and yeld a good profit.
Buying the best is often not extravagant, and hiring lower priced people as activists might prefer may not be a good way at all to save money.
