Elissa Greer has been named EVP communications at Solstice Studios, overseeing corporate and domestic publicity and promotions for the company.
Previously, she led the publicity and marketing teams at New Line Cinema, FilmDistrict, Focus Features and Blumhouse’s BH Tilt.
Solstice was founded in October 2018 by a team led by president & CEO Mark Gill, who was formerly president of Warner Independent Pictures as well as Miramax and Millennium Films.
Ex-Walt Disney Pictures production executive Andrew Gunn and Vitality VX founder Guy Botham serve as production heads, and Guy Botham, who was head of strategy & analytics at STX, is marketing & strategy head.
The company produces 3-5 movies per year for a global audience—generally in the $30-80M budget range. It also plans to acquire another 2-4 films per year for wide US distribution.
