BCW has added Weber Shandwick’s Erin Shea as executive VP & market leader of its Chicago office.

She takes over for David Coronna, who is returning to a training & development role, and reports to Teresa Henderson, COO for North America.

Shea exited the Interpublic agency as executive VP & midwest integrated communications planning chief.

In her seven-year stint at Weber Shandwick, she was strategic lead on multichannel content, e-commerce and communications strategies for national and global projects for business-to-business, consumer, corporate and healthcare clients.

Earlier, Shea did a four-year run at Edelman and spent two years at Harpo Productions as producer of and vertical lead for the digital Oprah Winfrey’s Book Club.

She also had digital editorial roles at the Chicago Sun-Times, Reed Business Information, and Imagination Publishing.

Shea is the author of “Tales from the Scale,” which the Wall Street Journal rated as one of top six health books for 2005.
