Edelman has hired Fiona Hughes as head of business development and operations for its influencer marketing and Edelman Studios operation.
Based in London, she will develop a uniform approach to influencer marketing and content creation across the firm’s global network.
Hughes, a 20-plus year communications/marketing veteran, joins the No. 1 independent firm from Collectively, a global influencer shop, where she was European managing director.
She helped establish Collectively’s European content center and worked with brands such as Unilever, De Beers Group, SC Johnson and Facebook.
Earlier, Hughes was integrated communications director at Hill+Knowlton Strategies/UK and did stints at Fever PR, Red Consultancy, MSL Worldwide and Weber Shandwick.
