West has most recently run his own London-based independent consulting firm, Westofcenter Ltd. He also sits on the board of the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications. LaVoieHealthScience appoints Joseph Schepers senior vice president of investor relations and financial communications. Schepers comes to LHS from clinical stage biopharmaceutical company Aravive, where he served as vice president. He has also held senior investor relations and financial communications roles at companies including Novartis, Immunomedics, Sciele/Shionogi, ICN/Ribapharm, Pernix and Chimerix. “He brings more than 25 years of expertise and leadership roles in investor relations and corporate communications in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, special pharmaceuticals, vision care, medical devices, and consumer health,” said LHS president and CEO Donna LaVoie.

Clyde Group adds Matt Lockwood as a managing director. Lockwood was founder and CEO of digital storytelling agency LGND. His previous positions include strategy and communications lead at Google Maps and deputy chief of speechwriting for former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg. He will work to build and grow Clyde Group’s digital and public affairs work, as well as strengthen its tech policy expertise. “Matt brings significant advisory and strategic storytelling experience from previous work with some of the highest-profile companies and individuals," said Clyde Group founder and CEO Alex Slater.

Pierpont Communications promotes Allison Murray to vice president and general manager, and Christine Rashman to vice president. Before joining Pierpont in 2019, Murray was a vice president at Edelman, Kith and FleishmanHillard. At Pierpont, she has led multiple client engagements and grown the firm’s roster of technology, energy and healthcare clients. In her new position, Murray will oversee strategy, business development and operations for Pierpont’s Austin office. Rashman, who has been with the agency since 2018, was previously director, public relations at The Martin Group. As a vice president, she will further expand Pierpont’s retail practice. Murray and Rashman “are drivers of our agency’s success across our client portfolio, working with tier-one brands in education, enterprise technology, clean-tech and energy transition,” said Pierpont chief operating officer Clint Woods.
