Kristin Wilson-Palmer, who has been a senior VP in Edelman’s Washington, DC office since 2021, joins the Natural Resources Defense Council as chief communications officer.
At Edelman, Wilson-Palmer led accounts for the agency’s global financial communications practice, with a focus on earned media, corporate social responsibility, ESG and DEI.
Before coming to Edelman, she held positions including CCO at the Insurance Information Institute; VP, media relations at AARP; and communications manager for the National Association of Black Journalists.
“Public opinion is the heart and soul of public advocacy, and the wealth and breadth of Kristin’s experience make her the perfect fit for this essential role,” said NRDC chief policy impact officer Christy Goldfuss. “She brings the skills, the judgment and the dedication necessary to help drive the change we need to see in the world.”
Established in 1970, NRDC is has more than 3 million members and online activists, with offices in cities including New York City, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and San Francisco.
