Omnicom PR Group acquires public affairs firm PLUS Communications and FP1 Strategies, a political consultancy. The PLUS and FP1 management teams will remain in place, and the agencies will continue to operate under their current brands. PLUS Communications provides multinational corporations, trade associations and non-profit organizations with corporate and crisis communications. Its services include coalition building, grassroots mobilization, advertising, digital engagement and media relations. Headquartered in Arlington, VA, it has regional offices in Richmond, VA and Austin, Texas. Cision, a provider of consumer and media intelligence and communications solutions, enters into a long-term agreement to distribute Dow Jones content to public relations and corporate communications professionals. Users of Cision's platforms will also receive digital subscriptions to Dow Jones publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, MarketWatch, Investor's Business Daily and Dow Jones Newswires. Cision will also integrate select content from Dow Jones’s Factiva business intelligence solution into its platforms, offering customers the ability to monitor and analyze content from thousands of licensed sources globally. Trinity Hunt Partners, a Dallas-based private equity firm, launches Agital, a digital marketing services agency. Agital’s full suite of marketing services includes paid and organic search, social, programmatic, PR, consulting, creative, website development and UX design. The company’s portfolio includes Exclusive Concepts, Highnoon, REQ, and EK Creative, and Trinity Hunt also plans to acquire additional complementary firms.
