Invariant adds Loren Dealy Mahler to its strategic communications and public affairs practice as a senior director. Dealy Mahler most recently founded and ran Dealy Mahler Strategies. She has also served as VP, corporate communications at MWW and VP, communications and external affairs at IT services and consulting company Cipherloc (now SideChannel). Earlier in her career, she was director of legislative affairs for the National Security Council and director of communications for the Department of Defense’s Office of Legislative Affairs. At Invariant, she will work to expand the agency’s portfolio of work across defense, national security, and cybersecurity. “Working across the federal government, Capitol Hill, communications agencies, and with start-ups makes her uniquely qualified to help clients bridge the gap between corporate communications, public affairs, and government affairs,” said Matthew Gallagher, head of Invariant’s strategic communications team in Washington, DC.

Hukill joins FOVNDRY from kglobal, where he was most recently a vice president, managing the agency’s public relations team and specializing in public affairs campaigns for private industry, trade associations and nonprofit organizations. He was previously executive editor at Sayfie Media, a state politics digital media company. In his new post, Hukill leads FOVNDRY’s PR team as well as contributing to the firm’s business development efforts and other agency operations. “Jon is an experienced PR professional who will help take our growing public relations practice area to the next level,” said FOVNDRY founder and CEO Laura Van Eperen

Metro Public Relations, an entertainment strategic communications agency, promotes Rebecca Rolnick Knaack to senior VP of entertainment. Knaack has been with the firm since 2017 and was previously a vice president. She previously worked in the Television department at PMK*BNC in the Television and was also at The Gersh Agency. She will continue to lead Metro’s Television & Film division and is tasked with streamlining client experience and campaign management. “She continues to be instrumental in building a highly skilled team and helping to grow our roster of TV film, and streaming clients.
