Eric McKeeby, a 25-year cancer survivor and veteran healthcare and biotech communicator, has joined San Francisco’s Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy as head of communications and marketing.

He leads corporate and internal PR, brand management and audience engagement.

Prior to PICI, he served as communications director for insitro, AI-driven drug discovery company; head of marketing & communications for Regeneron Genetics Center; director of health communications at Ancestry; director of community engagement at the American Board of Internal Medicine; and VP-health at Edelman.

McKeeby began his career as a PA officer for the US Army. He was deployed to the Horn of Africa, where he established relationships with the Kenyan, Ethiopian and Djiboutian media.

PICI’s goal is to turn all cancers into curable diseases by fostering collaboration between researchers, non-profits and pharmaceutical companies.
