FINN Partners names Nate West, a leader in its Southeast health group, partner. West began his career as account coordinator at FINN in 2008 and reached the position of director of client services before becoming director of communications for the Tennessee Wildlife Federation. He rejoined FINN in 2021 as a VP in the health practice and has focused on providing strategic communications for health companies, including Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Tivity Health, and Interwell Health. “Nate’s leadership has been critical to our continued success in advancing our market share in provider services, digital health, wellness and other important segments of the health ecosystem,” said FINN managing partner and global health practice leader Fern Lazar.

Sony Pictures Entertainment chief communications officer Robert Lawson is being promoted to lead comms for all of Sony Group Corp. In his new role as senior VP of corporate communications, Lawson will report to SGC CEO Kenichiro Yoshida, and will be based in Tokyo. Lawson joined SPE after serving as an EVP at Rubenstein, where he ran a division focused on corporate communications, crisis/issues management, thought leadership and large-scale outreach campaigns. While at Rubinstein, Lawson worked closely with Paramount Pictures, developing and implementing numerous internal and external communications strategies. Before working at Rubenstein, Lawson was a deputy press secretary for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. In a note to Sony Pictures staff that was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, SPE CEO Tony Vinciquerra praised Lawson’s “invaluable strategic advice and counsel at a time of extraordinary change at SPE and throughout our entire industry.”

ATREVIA, a global communication and corporate affairs company, brings on Yolanda Román as global managing director of its public affairs area. Román rejoins the company, where she served as head of public relations between 2013 to 2017, from Amazon, where she has led public policy and institutional relations in Spain. She previously served as a public affairs manager at Uber. In her new post, she will work with all the teams of ATREVIA to give a new impetus to a consolidated area of the company that has not stopped growing and innovating. Leading the public affairs division and will work in coordination with Manuel Mostaza, who will continue as director of Madrid, Portugal and Brussels; Ramón González, head of the Brussels office; Álex Bonet and Sònia Recasens in Barcelona, and Daniel Albino in Portugal.
