Podesta Group and BGR veterans with deep roots in Democratic politics have launched InSight Public Affairs to offer one-stop-shop advocacy services for companies, non-profits, causes and coalitions.
Oscar Ramirez and Dana Thompson worked as principals at Tony Podesta's firm, handling tech, education and transportation clients.
Ramirez served in the Obama campaign as Virginia policy director. He also was as senior advisor to former Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and deputy chief of staff for Rep. Al Green.
Thompson directed the Washington office of former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and was a top aide to Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee and Maxine Waters.
Joshua Lamel, who headed he technology and tax practices at BGR, joins Ramirez and Thompson. He's a veteran of the staffs of Sen. Ron Wyden and Rep Kendrick Meek, who had chaired the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.
