The Royal Portfolio collection of luxury hotels and resorts in South Africa has picked Weill to handle PR for The Silo Hotel, its latest offering set to open March 2017 in Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred waterfront.

The 28-room hotel is housed within the walls of the historic waterfront grain building which has been transformed by world-renowned architect Thomas Heatherwick. Liz Biden, founder of The Royal Portfolio, and her husband Phil designed each of the rooms and public spaces at the hotel.
Restaurants, bars, spa, gym and a dramatic 360-degree views of the area’s top sights such as Table Mountain, Lion’s Head and Robben Island highlight the property.
"We are honored and delighted to have been selected by The Royal Portfolio family to publicize the opening of this hotly anticipated hotel, which is quite unlike anything Cape Town, or really, the world, has ever seen," Geoffrey Weill said.
Weill explained that has spent more than a decade representing hotels and resorts in and around the city and is “thrilled to be back” to launch the latest Biden family vision.
Other properties from The Royal Portfolio include Royal Malewane in Greater Kruger National Park, La Residence in Franschhoek, Birkenhead House in Hermanus and The One Above penthouse in Cape Town.
Weber Shandwick is providing PR and marketing communications services to the Moroccan National Tourist Office in New York.
Finn Partners has filed its six-month contract with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, which is worth $240K.
