Lambert, Edwards & Associates is celebrating its 20th anniversary, as well as its growing national profile, by changing the firm’s corporate name to Lambert & Co. and rebranding as Lambert®. The rebranding effort includes a new logo, website and signage that will go up this week at firm offices in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Detroit and New York City. With more than 150 clients based in 20 states and six countries, Lambert has achieved a nearly 20 percent compound annual growth rate over the past two decades. Adding to that growth were the acquisition of New York City-based Owen Blicksilver PR in 2018; Lansing, Michigan-based Sterling Corporation in 2014; Atlanta-based IR Squared in 2011; and Detroit-based John Bailey & Associates in 2008. “The Lambert, Edwards & Associates name and LE&A acronym needed a refresh and a transformation,” said Lambert founder and CEO Jeff Lambert. “The Lambert brand has stood for a unique combination of big ideas and bottom-line results for two decades, and this cleaner identity matches our firm of today.”

Merritt Group Consulting has rebranded itself as Spool Marketing and Communications. Spool is helmed by Catherine Merritt, former consumer practice lead at MSLGROUP and the founder of startups MUMZY, a crowdfunding site for mothers, and Finnbin, which produces “baby boxes” in which newborns can safely sleep. With a client roster that includes Baby Einstein, Kids II, Morgan Li, Hot Doug’s and Be Curious Partners, the agency employs many women and mothers who left the traditional agency world because of the challenges of juggling career and family.
