Lucy Panza, who was counsel to New York Senator Chuck Schumer, has signed on at Crossroads Strategies as executive VP.
She did a four-year stint with the now Senate Majority Leader, a span that included two government shutdowns. Panza also was a legislative assistant to California Senator Barbara Boxer.
During her time in the Senate, Panza worked on the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, new immigrant green card provisions, and legislation to help compensate victims of terror.
She joins Crossroads from Amazon, where Panza as senior manager of public policy handled outreach to Democrats on Capitol Hill and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
Panza also dealt with policy issues including antitrust, privacy, workplace health and safety, tax, immigration, sustainability and environmental corporate responsibility.
Mat Lapinski, Crossroads CEO, praised Panza’s strong track record of legislative wins and policy leadership.
He said her experience in advising some of the most influential lawmakers and voices in DC, coupled with her time at Amazon “will deepen the strength of our team as we help our clients navigate what will be a significant year ahead.”
Crossroads Strategies is part of Public Policy Holding Co., which trades on the London Stock Exchange.
