RTC Partners, Miami-based private equity firm, has invested in COMM, the digital marketing shop in Boston with 50 staffers.
Launched in 1994, COMM provides branding, creative, media, lead generation, web development and social services to clients in the healthtech, financial, manufacturing tech and retail sectors.
Clients include Bose Automotive, Wilmington Trust, Raymarine and Guidehouse.
The COMM investment “accelerants to our vision of integrating growth strategy together with leading in-market programs, informed by marketing science and technology, to drive growth for our clients,” said RTC CEO John Shomaker.
RTC’s also has invested in fama PR, Intelisent, MarketBridge and Quarry. They have 260 professionals in six locations in the US and Canada.

Accenture has acquired Whalar, which had billed itself as the “world’s leading independent creator and social agency,” from Whalar Group.

Infinite, a communications and reputation management firm, has acquired Dukas Linden Public Relations, which represents some of the most prestigious financial institutions in the U.S.
Public Policy Holding Company’s MultiState Assocs. government relations unit has hired Lee Cowen and Nicholas Evans via the acquisition of their respective firms, Cowen Consulting and Putnam Strategies.
