Mixed martial arts promoter World Series of Fighting has signed on PR powerhouse Rubenstein Public Relations as its agency of record.
Las Vegas-based WSOF was founded in 2012. The MMA promoter, which broadcasts its live events on NBC Sports Network’s NBCSN, will bring its fight series to New York for the first time with a December 31 bout at Madison Square Garden. That event, which comes after New York’s much-awaited lifting of a decades-long ban of MMA events, follows the Ultimate Fighting Championship highly-publicized November Madison Square Garden bout, which drew more than 20,000 fans. WSOF is owned by parent company MMAWC.
New York-based Rubenstein will provide communications support for WSOF and its events, including the New Year’s Eve Madison Square Garden event.

If you had your choice of PR clients, former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick—with his 24-year-old girlfriend/"PR rep" in tow—might not be the way to go.
Lara Toscani Weems has joined Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf as senior VP-media relations.
Jason Teitler has returned to Burson as executive VP-corporate affairs. He will focus on sports accounts.
