Minnesota, which has received federal approval to run its own health insurance exchange, is collecting agency proposals to run a public education campaign to reach potential users.

The has an RFP open for a firm (or partnership of firms) to guide communications to "generate buzz and awareness" for the exchange through advertising, PR, collateral materials and outreach.

Implementation of the resulting campaign, slated to run from June 2013 through March 2014, will be handled by Minnesota Health Exchange communications staff.

Proposals are due March 18.

The exchange opens for enrollment in October 2013.
