The 28,000-student University of Massachusetts, Amherst, is looking for a PR firm to burnish the corporate image of its selective iCons scientific academic program, a 20-credit curriculum focused on global issues like renewable energy and biomedicine.
Icons, an acronym for integrated concentration in science, is a highly competitive undergraduate program through UMass' College of Natural Sciences that claims a 100% job/graduate position placement rate.
The university released an RFP on Oct. 16 for a one-year PR contract to develop a PR plan to cultivate support for the program by enhancing its corporate perception and boosting internship and job opportunities for participating students. It wants to ramp up to $500K in annual corporate sponsorships in 2017.
The work must be consistent with UMass' corporate relations and brand strategy.
Proposals are due Nov. 12. View the RFP (PDF).
