AMC Theatres promotes Ellen Copaken to senior VP marketing. Copaken joined the company as VP, growth strategy in 2022. She was previously managing director and partner at strategic growth consultancy Sterling-Rice Group. Before that, Copaken held senior marketing roles at Frito-Lay, PepsiCo and Hostess Brands. At AMC, she will report to chairman and CEO Adam Aron and will join AMC’s executive committee. “Ellen Copaken has truly distinguished herself as she grabbed the reins of our desire to launch AMC Perfectly Popcorn to the home market,” said Aron. “In the year and a half that she has been with us, her talent, skill and affable nature have been obvious to all who have interacted with her.”

Yelverton joins 160/90 from Whalar where, as senior VP, brand solutions, she led and mentored the North American client services team. She previously held senior positions at Ketchum, Edelman’s United Entertainment Group and Dentsu Creative (formally 360i). Yelverton has executed creator and talent-led strategies for brands across tech, beauty, fashion, CPG and entertainment as well as supporting key social platform partnerships.
