Blank Center

The University of Texas at Austin seeks proposals for ongoing PR, advertising & marketing initiatives to protect, promote, and evolve global branding for the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research.

The Blank Center provides access to quality care at no cost to children, teens and adults who stutter worldwide.

It fosters a global pipeline of speech-language pathologists and researchers who specialize in stuttering through its training of undergrad/grad students, and practicing clinicians to generate new knowledge about the nature and best practices for stuttering.

The Blank Center’s current PR push is primarily a grassroots effort. It wants a firm to educate the public that many of the recent developments relating to stuttering treatment initiated with the Center.

“Other organizations are taking our language and presenting it as their own, and we have to at the very least get ahead of the messaging,” says the RFP.

The Center wants to achieve global recognition for its work. “We aim to be the leading organization in reducing stigmatization of stuttering in the general public, with our messaging being uniquely positive, uplifting, and empowering to all.”

It is eager “to increase brand visibility which will in turn increase philanthropic support that will enable us to further expand our reach.”

The Center will issue a two-year contract with an option to renew for an additional one-year term.

Proposals are due May 4. They go to the University of Texas at Austin Bonfire portal.
