California Employment Development Department

California is looking for a partner to develop and implement a statewide public outreach, education and media campaign about the expansion of electronic fund transfer options for people receiving disability, paid family leave and unemployment benefits.

The Golden State is especially keen on increasing awareness and equitable access among its diverse racial, ethnic and cultural communities to ensure a smooth transition to the new payment scheme.

The selected partner will use earned media, paid advertising, social media activities, influencer outreach and alliances with advocacy groups to spread the message about new payment options and the transition from vendor Bank of America to the Money Network.

California has budgeted $3.6M for a two-year campaign that will kick off Nov. 1.
