Clarke County

Clarke County, Virginia is requesting proposals from agencies that can develop and create tourism branding services.

The rural Commonwealth county, which has a population of about 15,000, sits in the Northern Shenandoah Valley near the West Virginia border. The County counts two incorporated towns, Berryville and Boyce.

The Clarke County Economic Development Department is looking for an agency that can build a tourism brand as well as a website promoting the county—and the Town of Berryville—as a travel destination in an effort to boost visitations and support its hospitality industry.

Scope of work includes developing and providing tourism-branding services; creating a tourism brand logo, color palette and tagline along with a brand message; designing a user-friendly website with a design and professional feel that promotes the county; providing website maintenance services; providing paid media marketing campaigns and Google ads for brand awareness; collaborating on marketing strategies to drive people to the website; and conducting community and visitor research.

Clarke County would like the tourism-logo design portion of the work completed within one tpo two months, with the website portion of the work finished within six months. The county may extend the contract for up to five additional one-year terms.

Proposals are due by 3:00 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, September 12, and should be mailed or delivered to:
