The New Hampshire Dept. of Education plans to book a firm to run a PR and marketing campaign to recruit teachers for its new computer science program.
The firm will create public service announcements, informational materials, a website, videos, graphics and social media content as part of a program to encourage individuals to become certified NH computer science educators.
Certified computer science educators will receive a $5K bonus after their first year of teaching and a $2,500 bonus for each of the next two years of full-time teaching.
The effort is part of a broader plan to promote broader computer science education in The Granite State to prepare more students for employment opportunities in the high-tech sector.
The Education Dept. will issue a contract starting Jan. 1 and running through June.
Proposals are due Oct. 13.
