The College of William & Mary, which was chartered in 1693, is looking for a director of PR strategy to head its newly formed content & strategy team.

The director will be in charge of communications strategic planning and responsible for bolstering the framework for storytelling and photography across the Williamsburg, VA-school’s platforms.

The position calls for developing a PR program that raises W&M’s visibility as a leading research institution, advances its reputation, and articulates high-impact opportunities while maximizing the university’s brand platform across multiple channels.

The director will report to the chief communications officer, work closely with president Katherine Rowe, and partner with marketing professionals across the university to ”proactively initiate communication and effectively respond to critical milestones in the higher education landscape with creativity and distinctiveness,” according to the job specs.
