Pierpont Communications has named Stacy Armijo executive vice president, a newly created position at the Houston-based investor relations and PR agency.
Armijo joined Pierpont in 2002 as an account executive. In the 15 years since she’s ascended to become senior vice president and general manager of the firm’s Austin and San Antonio offices, during which time the former outpost has more than doubled in size.
As EVP, Armijo will lead employee leadership initiatives and marketing services for clients across the company while continuing to service clients for the San Antonio market.
The agency also named Mike Gehrig general manager of its Austin office. Gehrig, who's been stationed with the agency for six years, is now responsible for growing the Austin outpost’s clients, staff and opportunities.
Pierpont, which focuses on financial services, construction, healthcare and technology, maintains additional offices in Dallas and San Antonio.
