Agency partner and senior vice president Kathryn Walker has been appointed to led the Atlanta office. Walker first joined McGrath/Power in 2001 as an account manager. She was later stationed in the Atlanta area, where she served as global public relations manager for Internet Security Systems (now IBM) and Borland Software Corporation (now Micro Focus) before rejoining McGrath/Power in 2005.
Walker also leads the agency’s East Coast operations, a role she will continue to serve from the Atlanta location.
The agency in a statement said it opened the Atlanta office in response to the city’s burgeoning tech sector.
Agency personnel told O’Dwyer’s that the Atlanta office is currently in the process of hiring additional staff.
