The National Football League has hired NASCAR’s Jon Schwartz for the senior VP-communications & PA spot, effective Jan. 7.
At the NFL, Schwartz will focus on long-term brand & PR strategies, align internal/external communications and provide outreach to various stakeholders.
He will report to Jocelyn Moore, executive VP-external communications & PA.
Schwartz, who has more than 20 years of PR experience, worked as NASCAR’s managing director of integrated marketing communications.
Earlier he was at MasterCard, Bank of America, American Hockey League and Arena Football League.
He also did a stint at sports PR powerhouse Taylor, handling sponsorships for Reebok, Texaco and Castrol.
