BoardroomPR has opened an office in New York City. The New York office will be the agency’s seventh nationwide, joining locations in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Miami, Fla.; Orlando, Fla.; Tampa, Fla.; West Palm Beach, Fla. and Aspen, Colo. Hayley Brooks will be leading the office. Brooks, who started her career as a public relations intern at BoardroomPR, has subsequently worked at Disney, Nickelodeon, Creative Artists Agency and DIGA Studios. She will work with clients across their storytelling needs and will work directly with BoardroomPR Founder & CEO Julie Talenfeld on special projects.

5W Public Relations has partnered with Volunteers of America to sponsor the Operation Backpack Campaign for the fifth consecutive year. Each year since 2001, Volunteers of America-Greater New York has been distributing new backpacks filled with school supplies to children who are homeless or living in domestic violence shelters throughout New York City. Employees at 5W Public Relations are filling backpacks with grade-specific school supplies that will be distributed to kids prior to beginning the new school year. "Programs like Operation Backpack do an excellent job of instilling confidence in those who need it most and we're proud to be able to support an organization that helps build up our community," said 5W Public Relations Founder and CEO Ronn Torossian.

Moscow-based iMARS Communications has joined the Public Relations and Communications Association International (PRCA International) as a corporate member. In addition to its Moscow office, iMARS runs a subsidiary in Beijing and collaborates with a network of international partners.
