New York Women in Communications will honor five communications leaders at its awards ceremony slated Oct. 10 at Bloomberg’s headquarters in New York.

The WiCi Awards are meant to recognize women who are part of the next generation of communications leaders. This year’s honorees are:

Amanda Cowie
Amanda Cowie

Amanda Cowie, head of business & strategy communications at Bloomberg Media. Cowie leads global communications for Bloomberg and has played a major role in setting communications strategy and gaining coverage for the company’s multi-platform business model. In 2012 and 2014, she was on Business Insider’s list of the 50 Best Public Relations People in the Tech Industry.

Mora Neilson
Mora Neilson

Mora Neilson, assistant VP integrated communications at L’Oreal Paris. Neilson serves as the company’s Brand Steward, leading long-term communications strategy and vision for public relations, social media, content and influencer marketing. Through the company’s philanthropy, Women of Worth, she has fostered relationships with prominent philanthropists, business leaders and the women’s empowerment movement.

Amy Odell
Amy Odell

Amy Odell, Cosmopolitan.com editor. Odell oversees overall digital presence for the Hearst women’s title. Under her leadership, Cosmopolitan.com has more than doubled its traffic, and now reaches over 30 million monthly unique visitors. She has been named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” in media.

Leslie Pitterson
Leslie Pitterson

Leslie Pitterson, VP-communications, U.S. media, Nielsen. Pitterson oversees integrated campaigns and media relations to support the company’s shift toward digital media. She is a supporter of NYWICI and the The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library.

Shari Reichenberg
Shari Reichenberg

Shari Reichenberg, senior director, strategy and planning, Ogilvy. Reichenberg heads Engagement Planning at Ogilvy, as well as serving as group strategy lead across its U.S. offices. She has also been co-lead for the firm’s 400+ member Women’s Leadership Professional Network.
