Resolute Public Affairs hires Neil Simon as an EVP. Simon was most recently director of communications for Metro, the Portland, OR regional government. He previously served as global communications director at Tektronix. Prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Simon guided the European Union through its public engagement in the US, leading more than 200 in-person and online events. Based in Portland, he now advises Resolute clients across the country. “Neil’s experiences advising global corporations, elected officials and government agencies shows his natural ability to forge meaningful connections,” said Resolute founder and managing partner Greg Goldner. “His diverse career will bring another valuable perspective to the Resolute team and clients.”

FINN Partners promotes Jessica Lise to partner, New York health. Lise has been with the agency since 2019, most recently serving as vice president, New York health. Before coming to Finn, she was a senior account supervisor at RXMOSAIC. In her new role, she reports to Tom Jones, managing partner, head, New York health and pharma sector, and will serve on the Global Health Practice Leadership Team. “Team members look up to Jess; she is a tremendous role model to all in delivering on the important function of learning and development, leading with a ‘people first’ mentality,” said Jones.

Thomson Reuters names Jeannine Befidi chief communications officer. Befidi was most recently vice president, global employee communications at Ceridian. She was previously at Thomson Reuters as head of internal communications and change management, and has held senior communications and leadership roles at Target, Health Partners and 3M. In her new post, Befidi will take responsibility for all aspects of corporate and brand communications, as well as reputation management, employee communications, and executive communications. “Jeannine will lead us in articulating the next part of our journey to our stakeholders as we establish new ways of organizing and operating,” said Thomson Reuters chief people officer Mary Alic Vuicic.
