GE Appliances has named Antonio Boadas, director of communications at Procter & Gamble, chief communications officer. He succeeds Deborah Wexler, who is retiring on Aug. 31.
Boadas worked for 16 years in PR roles at P&G, handling corporate communications, brand building, PA and organizational development. He led external communications for Latin America, India, Middle East and Africa.
The Venezuela native began his career as a newspaper reporter and joined the corporate world as a PA manager at Philip Morris.
At GE Appliances, he will report to Kevin Nolan president & CEO.
Based in Louisville's Appliance Park, the company markets refrigerators, freezers, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, air conditioners and water filtration systems
It is part of China’s Haier Group.
