August, which launched in October, hires Matthew Harrison as managing director based in the firm’s New York office. Harrison joins August from FTI Consulting, where he was senior director in its strategic communications segment. He previously served as director of consulting at Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors, a commercial litigation firm. At August, Harrison will help lead client engagements with a focus on litigation support and crisis situations. “He is an outstanding client-focused professional whose passion and expertise will greatly contribute to our culture and capabilities,” said August chief executive officer Steven Goldberg.

Nexstar Media names Beth Feldman executive director of communications for the company’s networks division, effective April 4. Feldman joins the company from Beyond PR Group, where as a partner she developed and executed digital media activation campaigns for such television programs as “The Talk,” “Survivor” and “The Good Wife.” She was previously vice president for the CBS Communications Group. In her new post, Feldman will oversee internal and external communications for Nexstar’s cable news network, NewsNation; its nationally distributed diginets, Antenna TV and Rewind TV; and WGN Radio in Chicago. “She is an industry insider, has well-established relationships with important media outlets and has conducted many successful promotional and awareness campaigns for a broad array of news, talk, and entertainment programming,” said Nexstar Media networks division president Sean Compton.

The Cleveland Browns hire Brent Rossi as senior vice president of marketing and media. Rossi comes to the team from the American Hockey League’s Bridgeport Islanders, where he was president of business operations. He also managed fan engagement for the New York Islanders, the Bridgeport club’s parent team. Before that, he was executive vp of marketing and business strategy at Pegula Sports and Entertainment. In his new post, Rossi will oversee the Browns’ marketing; events; digital, video and radio content; website and social media; community relations; and creative services departments. "Brent has tremendous marketing and fan engagement experience within the NFL and across the sports and entertainment industry," said Haslam Sports Group (which owns the Browns) executive vp and COO Dave Jenkins.
