Oaktree Solutions names Daniel Tietz chief operating officer and managing director for policy. Tietz joins the firm from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, where he served as commissioner. He previously led a wide range of nonprofit and governmental organizations and departments including Bronx Parent Housing Network and Bailey House, which provides housing and essential support to individuals and families with HIV/AIDS and other conditions. Oaktree, which was started up by NYC mayor Eric Adams’ chief of staff, Frank Carone, also hired former US Rep. Max Rose as managing director for federal and international affairs in May. “Daniel’s impressive career spans more than four decades of serving marginalized New Yorkers and folks across our country with compassion and leadership,” said Carone. “His experience scaling operations and driving outcomes is second to none.”

Bishop, a founding member of the CFO roundtable for the Council of Public Relations, most recently ran Bishop Management Consulting, which focuses on the marketing communications industry. He has also held the CFO post at firms including Next Fifteen, Text 100 Corporation and Incepta. “For years, my partners and I have known Bruce as we sat on the opposite side of the table on M&A transactions,” said TobinLeff founder David Tobin. “We have always admired his knowledge, professionalism, and creativity.”

Pet Paradise, which provides pet health care, overnight boarding, resort-style day camp, professional grooming and dog training hires Kristen Majdanics as VP of marketing and communications. Majdanics was most recently senior VP of marketing at Firehouse Subs, where she led the company’s consumer marketing function and was instrumental in developing its brand strategy and customer loyalty program. In her new role, she will lead all marketing and branding strategies for the company, including advertising, creative development, customer experience, public relations and digital marketing for Pet Paradise and NewDay Veterinary Care. She will also lead the company’s philanthropic initiatives. “Her expertise and strategic outlook will be a valuable addition to Pet Paradise,” said president and CEO Fernando Acosta-Rua.
