160over90, part of the Endeavor network, has been named communications agency of record for XFL, the football league founded by Vince McMahon. 160over90 will handle the XFL’s media relations strategy, message development and influencer engagement. The agency’s work with the XFL will run through the league’s 2020 season, which kicks off on Feb. 8. Endeavor’s sports services group has been working with the XFL since the start of 2019, focusing on content strategy. XFL games will be nationally televised on ABC/ESPN and FOX Sports.

Light Step

SourceCode Communications has been named the communications agency of record for LightStep, an application performance management company for modern tech stocks. SourceCode will focus on defining messaging, thought leadership, developer relations, content development support and media relations for the company. LightStep, which was founded in 2017 by a group of Google alumnae, creates products that leverage distributed tracing technology that was initially developed at Google by one of LightStep’s co-founders. Based in New York, SourceCode works with companies in consumer lifestyle, enterprise technology, marketing technology, mobile and telecommunications and financial technology.

Bitpanda

Hill+Knowlton Strategies has been named fintech company Bitpanda’s external communications partner in Europe. H+K will focus on communicating Bitpanda’s story, supporting product launches and raising awareness of its trading platform. Bitpanda is a Vienna-based trading platform founded in 2014 that allows users to invest in Bitcoin, gold and over 30 other digital assets from phone or desktop. “We are keen to communicate our approach and tear down barriers with a clear vision; no matter the budget or country if you have internet, you should have access to the financial world. We believe with H+K’s network and expertise, the time is right to invest in PR support,” said Bitpanda PR & communications manager Ivis Buric.

Miami-based Carve Communications has been named public relations agency of record for Educational Insights, which produces a line of learning-based toys and games. Carve has been tasked with strategic marketing, traditional media relations, earned and paid influencer campaigns and thought leadership initiatives as well as event activation and engagement. Educational Insights employs a team of teachers, creators, engineers and parents to design, develop and market products for the development of children from toddlers through grade school. Founded in 2014, Carve has secured press coverage for its clients in such outlets as Gizmodo, Wired, ABC and the Wall Street Journal.
