PROI Worldwide Americas Region joins the Diversity Action Alliance, an organization focused on diversity, equity and inclusion in public relations. DAA’s primary focus of work is to continuously improve in the areas of recruitment, retention and representation for people of color. “The agencies will access expertise through DAA’s experts and events, as well as through the DAA Resource Center and Solutions Finder tool that taps the knowledge of the vast network of signatories,” said PROI vice-chair, Americas Trudy Kremer. PROI Partner agencies that are DAA signatories include C+C, Finn Partners, G&S Business Communications, ICF Next, Lambert Global, rbb Communications, Taft Communications and Walker Sands.

Fuller Project

The Fuller Project, a global nonprofit newsroom dedicated to journalism about women, is looking for a director of development, who will oversee the organization’s fundraising program. The director of development will partner with The Fuller Project CEO Xanthe Scharff to define and execute fundraising goals, as well as working to prioritize Scharff’s involvement in all fundraising activities. The selected candidate will also be charged with building an organizational culture that focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Candidates should have five years of professional experience in nonprofit organizations, expertise in expanding and cultivating donor relationships, superior communication skills and a passion for the organization’s mission. The position will be based in The Fuller Project’s Washington, DC headquarters.

Yufan "Sunny" Qin

Cision and the Institute for Public Relations present the 2022 Cision Insights Award to University of Florida doctoral candidate Yufan “Sunny” Qin. Qin will receive a $1,200 stipend for publishing a research brief focused on how companies respond to complex social issues in the media, and the impact on corporate reputation and employee trust. The IPR Cision Insights Research Fellowship committee selects outstanding graduate or undergraduate students in the field of public relations, business, or communications to publish a solo-authored research brief featuring social or traditional media using Cision Insights software and monitoring technology. Qin will receive her award at the 2022 IPR Distinguished Lecture and Awards Dinner in New York City on December 1.
