Lynn Davidson, who served as spokesperson for 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) president Alok Sharma and was a managing director at Teneo, joins APCO Worldwide as a senior director.

As communications adviser to Sharma, Davidson provided key counsel leading up to COP26. She was subsequently Sharma’s senior adviser as the UK fulfilled its presidency ahead of COP27.

Davidson has also served as special adviser to the UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace and to Leader of the Commons Penny Mordaunt in the Ministry of Defence, the Department for International Development and the Government’s Equalities Office. She has also been Whitehall correspondent for The Sun and a reporter at the Daily Mail.

Based in London, Davidson will provide strategic advisory support in public affairs, financial communications, media relations, crisis communications and integrated digital campaigns as APCO's climate team prepares for COP28 later this year.

“She is an effective leader with a proven track record in crisis communications and reputation management, helping clients shape and reform strategies and narratives—internally and externally,” said APCO Worldwide founder and executive chairman Margery Kraus. “In addition, Lynn’s recent experience with climate issues and corporate engagement significantly adds to our ability to advise clients on this most important issue.”
