Abou Habib was previously CMO and senior vice president at SONIC Drive-In, part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants, where she oversaw national marketing, media, digital strategy, marketing technology and product innovation. At The Joint Corp., she is tasked with leading marketing and strategic planning to advance enterprise initiatives and grow performance of clinics, franchise prospects and consumer awareness. The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, a nonprofit organization that works to promote equal justice in such areas as voting rights, criminal justice, fair housing and community development, names Carlita Salazar as its first VP of communications. Salazar was most recently deputy chief communications officer at the Innocence Project, and she was previously publications editor at the National Resources Defense Council. In her new post, she will spearhead all external communications and lead the organization’s efforts to inform the public about the organization’s work and to shape public discourse and narratives about civil rights and racial justice.
