Global investment firm Carlyle brings on Certares partner and senior managing director Jeff Nedelman to lead its global investor relations team as global head of distribution, effective Oct. 16. Before joining Certares in 2020, Nedelman spent over 25 years at Goldman Sachs in both client-facing and operational roles, including co-chief operating officer of global equities and global head of prime services, which included the Prime Brokerage, Clearing (GSEC), and Futures businesses. In his new post, Nedelman will also play a key role in strategic areas across the firm, including close collaboration with the debt and equity capital markets teams. “He has spent his entire career in client and sales focused leadership roles and brings a successful track record of building and leading teams and businesses and longstanding relationships with investors around the world,” said Carlyle CEO Harvey Schwartz.

Pfizer hires Francesca DeMartino as chief investor relations officer. DiMartino was most recently senior VP of investor relations at medical technology company Becton Dickinson. She was previously VP, investor relation at Medtronic and served as director, worldwide communications at Johnson & Johnson. At Pfizer, DeMartino will communicate with the shareholder community about the company’s innovation and growth initiatives as well as updating investors on the progress Pfizer is making on its strategy and goals.
