murrayBill Murray is leaving the PRSA CEO slot after a seven-year stint in June to pursue other opportunities outside the communications sector.

“After deep reflection, I’ve decided that the time has come for me to leave PRSA and pursue new opportunities and new challenges,” he said in a statement.

He believes PRSA “stands at the threshold of an exciting new chapter and is well-positioned to thrive and grow in the years ahead.”

Joe Cohen, PRSA chairman, praised Murray “instilling a bottom-line business sensibility within the organization, while never losing sight of our focus on serving our members and advancing the profession.”

PRSA has begun a search for Murray’s successor.
