MWWPR chief Michael Kempner, who launched the firm in New Jersey in 1986, has been elected Manhattan Chamber of Commerce chairman, succeeding Ken Biberaj. He is the former deputy finance chair of the Democratic National Committee and was nominated by President Obama and approved by the U.S. Senate to serve as a Governor of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, which oversees all U.S. media properties. "Michael's background as a successful entrepreneur will be a major asset for our organization and the emerging businesses we are trying to help," said Jessica Walker, the Chamber's President and CEO.

Crosby Marketing Communications took home five awards in the 2017 “Best in Maryland” awards competition, conducted by the Maryland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Crosby won awards in the “Creative Tactics” category for two projects: a mobile app and social engagement program created for the public to “Thank A Vet” in their lives, developed for Disabled American Veterans; and publicity for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s partnership with the “Mark Trail” comic strip, to help educate audiences about how to prevent spreading invasive species. The agency also snagged trophies in the “Social Media” category for a video content campaign designed to drive potential organ donors to OrganDonor.gov, and in both the “Integrated Communications” and “Videos” categories for the “Victories for Veterans” national public service campaign created for DAV.
