French|West|Vaughan has been selected by the North Carolina Sweet Potato Commission to lead marketing and communications efforts. FWV will provide strategic counsel and execution of overall marketing and communications, including brand positioning, creative development, media relations, social media, events, digital advertising and website development. NCSPC works to increase sweet potato consumption through education, promotional activities, research and honorable horticultural practices amongst its producers. Thanks to the Commission’s efforts, North Carolina has maintained its position as the No. 1 sweet potato producing state in the US for almost five decades.

RuMa Hotel

The Brandman Agency has added The RuMa Hotel and Residences to its worldwide luxury travel and lifestyle portfolio. Set to open in late 2018, the property is located in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. It will be the latest luxury hotel from Shanghai-based Urban Resort Concepts and the company’s first development outside of China. With 253 guest rooms and suites, the hotel will also have a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for corporate and social gatherings, equipped with leading-edge audiovisual technology. The Brandman Agency’s travel and lifestyle client roster also includes several Ritz-Carlton properties, COMO Hotels and Resorts, Visit Victoria and La Mamounia.

Relevance International is the first agency of record for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, a worldwide ranking scheme for high-quality dining. The partnership follows an initial engagement covering global strategy, media and influencer relations and event support for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ 2018 awards ceremony earlier this year. Relevance’s London and New York offices will handle the effort, as well as promoting the company’s #50BestTalks program taking place in San Francisco on Sept. 12 and its upcoming awards ceremony.

Walsh PR picked up Endless Games, a board game and marketer. Walsh’s work for Endless Games will include trade and consumer awareness, as well as international outreach and efforts to increase the company’s emphasis on social media engagement. Founded by industry veterans Mike Gasser, Kevin McNulty and game inventor Brian Turtle, Endless Games makes card games, party games, word games, trivia games, family games and pop culture games.
